Conservation, restoration, and sustainable development will not occur without an increase in the economy. The choice of commodities that have a higher value or get premium price incentives and still need the protection of the surrounding environment is the right answer. At present, more and more commodities are proven to have a better quality when aligned with environmental, natural preservation, including forests, for example, cocoa and coffee.
The sustainable commodities that are the priority of LTKL members include: Coffee, Cocoa, Coconut, Palm Oil, Rubber, Spices, and Non-Timber Forest Products. District members of LTKL have realized the importance of developing or prioritizing commodities that bring sustainability. Premium price incentives and subsidies for environmentally friendly commodities are some of the programs that begin to be implemented.
