The Dharmawangsa Jakarta proudly presents the ‘Treasures of Series’, an immersive journey into the rich tapestry of Indonesian flavors, art, and heritage. This series takes guests on a voyage through the diverse regions of Indonesia, uncovering hidden culinary gems and celebrating the country’s vibrant cultural traditions. The latest installment, ‘Treasures of Sigi’, invites guests to embark on a captivating exploration of the natural legacy of Sigi, echoing the earth’s riches from the heart of Sulawesi. Nestled in Central Sulawesi, Sigi is a regency brimming with captivating stories and secrets whispered by ancient forests, sacred lakes, and vibrant communities.
This pop-up experience promises an unforgettable encounter with the essence of Sigi, where nature’s legacy intertwines with captivating narratives to create an experience that will leave a lasting impression.
“The Sigi government, as a proud member of Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari (LTKL), joins hands with various stakeholders, including indigenous communities, local entrepreneurs, and passionate local youth, in a collective effort to preserve our forests and biodiversity. Through initiatives like ‘The Treasure of Sigi,’ we weave together the threads of art, culture, and culinary heritage to promote a nature-based economy and sustainable ecotourism,” remarked Ristika Putri Istanti, Head of the Secretariat of LTKL.
In a bid to amplify its message to a wider audience, particularly strategic stakeholders in Jakarta, the Treasure of Sigi emerges as a pivotal platform. It serves as an avenue for raising awareness and fostering connections between Sigi and the broader public, shedding light on the district’s abundant biodiversity, vibrant arts and culture, and vast potential for nature-based culinary and ecotourism destinations in Indonesia. “We highly appreciate the commitment of The Dharmawangsa and are grateful for the opportunity to showcase Sigi to the world.” said Mohamad Irwan, Head of Sigi District.
Integral to this endeavor are the local youth, who serve as the vanguards of change and innovation. Gampiri Interaksi Lestari, a local incubator in Sigi established in 2023, stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs especially in food, health and tourism sectors. “As representatives of the youth in the district, we wholeheartedly support this collaboration. Through Gampiri Interaksi Lestari, we have empowered and incubated sustainable businesses, so far nurturing 19 entrepreneurs and yielding 13 innovative nature-based derivative products to date.” affirmed Nedya Sinintha Maulaning. The products used for Treasure of Sigi are the results of Gampiri Interaksi Lestari’s work.
The event, in collaboration with Javara Indonesia and Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari (LTKL), will feature an array of activities, including talk shows, workshops, dinner experiences, and brunch, all curated to showcase the beauty and depth of Sigi and its culture.

As the sun sets, venture into our Pool Garden, where the gentle breeze carries the faint scent of bamboo smoke, infusing the air with an authentic ambiance. This experience is the culmination of Chef Julio’s immersive trip to Sigi, where he delved deep into the heart of the local community, learning their time-honored culinary traditions and embracing their unique flavors. Supported by Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari (LTKL) and Javara Indonesia, Chef Julio and his team have created a menu that celebrates the essence of Sigi, showcasing the region’s diverse ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.
