LTKL and Supporting Ecosystem: Driving Sustainable Development at the District Level
A large initiative aimed at promoting and supporting sustainable development at the district level in Indonesia naturally requires a supportive and collaborative support system. Through collaboration with local governments, local communities, and other stakeholders, LTKL has succeeded in building a strong supporting ecosystem to realize the vision of a restorative economy.
- Centers for Innovation, Production, and Incubation: The Driving Force of Sustainable Economy
One of LTKL’s main strategies in promoting sustainable development is through the establishment of centers for innovation, production, and incubation. These centers serve as a platform for developing innovative solutions based on local wisdom and environmentally friendly technology.
Innovation: Innovation centers encourage the creation of new ideas and nature-based solutions to address environmental and social challenges at the district level.
Production: Production centers support the development of sustainable products that meet strict environmental standards, while remaining competitive in the market.
Incubation: Incubation centers help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to grow and develop, and produce products that are high value-added and environmentally friendly.
Currently, LTKL has successfully built 2 innovation and production centers, as well as 5 incubation centers in various districts in Indonesia. These centers have had a positive impact on local communities, both economically, socially, and environmentally.
- Three-C Program: Strengthening the Role of Centers and Individuals
To strengthen the role of centers in supporting LTKL’s vision and mission, LTKL’s Sustainable Business Unit launched the Three-C program: Catalyzing Center Capacity. This program aims to:
Strengthen the Role of Centers: Increase the capacity of centers in innovation, production, and incubation, and integrate data and strategies from all centers.
Strengthening the Role of Individuals: Encourage each individual in the center to understand and support LTKL’s vision and mission through active involvement in center activities and strategies.
Data and Strategy Integration: Unify data and strategies from all centers to support better decision-making and activity synchronization.
OKR and KPI Development: Develop specific Objectives and Key Results (OKR) for each center and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for each individual, so that goals and progress can be clearly measured.
Organizational Structure and Job Descriptions: Redefine the organizational structure and job descriptions in each center so that each team member has a clear role and contributes effectively.
The Three-C program not only focuses on technical and operational aspects, but also on strengthening human capacity. Through this program, LTKL hopes to create independent, innovative, and competitive centers, as well as dedicated and competent individuals in driving sustainable development.
- EcoLeap: Opening Green Jobs Opportunities for the Younger Generation
In addition to the Three-C program, LTKL also has another initiative called EcoLeap. This program aims to introduce the environmentally and socially friendly job sector to the younger generation, and empower them with the skills needed by the sustainable labor market.
EcoLeap has successfully conducted bootcamps and in-depth classes for young people in Central Sulawesi. Through this program, participants receive training on various topics, such as cognitive skills and soft skills, CV writing and job interviews, financial literacy, and knowledge of sustainable commodities and ecotourism.
In addition, EcoLeap will also hold a Job & Opportunity Fair in June/July 2024 in Palu, Central Sulawesi. This event will be a meeting place for job providers and job seekers who have an interest in the environment and social fields.
LTKL and its supporting ecosystem have shown a strong commitment to promoting sustainable development at the district level. Through various programs and initiatives, LTKL has succeeded in creating a positive impact on society and the environment.
Innovation, production, and incubation centers are the driving force of the sustainable economy at the district level. The Three-C program strengthens the role of centers and individuals in supporting LTKL’s vision and mission. EcoLeap opens up green job opportunities for the younger generation and prepares them to face future challenges.
With strong collaboration between LTKL, local governments, local communities, and other stakeholders, sustainable development at the district level is expected to continue and benefit all Indonesian people.
